Rhonda Marie Brown was born into this as we know to be life on February 12, 1966 to Ida Mae Brown (Taylor) and Edward “Bo” Brown of Harrisburg Pennsylvania, She heard her Heavenly Father call her home to be with Him in the evening hours of Thursday, September 19, 2019 in Hershey Medical Center.
Rhonda is the youngest of five siblings and she became the rock and matriarch of the family. To know Rhonda was to know she loved and adored her daughter, Alexis, son, Darius and grandson, Tamir. Rhonda was strong, stubborn, straight forward and down to earth. She was quick witted, charming, smart and funny! She had a way of making you feel really important to her.
Rhonda was educated in the Harrisburg public school system, graduate of the class of 1984 she continued her studies at Palmer Business School, where she received her business certification. A career employee with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania for more than 30 years, Rhonda’s positions carried her to numerous State Agencies. She currently worked with the Office of Administration as an Employee Relations Specialist.
Rhonda leaves to celebrate her life, cherish their memories and mourn their loss, her loving daughter, Alexis Walton, her miracle son, Darius Samuels and her pride & joy, grandson, Tamir Cousin; brother, Laniard “Penny” Brown, sister, Patricia Brown Holmes, nieces, Katrina Ray, Tocccara Brown and Cheyenne Holmes, nephew Kai Brown, sister~in~law, Rosie Brown and brother~in~law Kevin Holmes. She also leaves to mourn great nieces and nephews, a great, great nephew, a host of relatives and a tribe of lifelong friends and colleagues.
As a member, Rhonda attended the Covenant Design Ministries, COGIC. She was always one to pamper herself, to know her was to know she was an original fashionista! She enjoyed watching the ID channel, after all, she thought she was an amateur sleuth with thoughts of one day solving missing women cases. Rhonda loved listening to jazz, and truly enjoyed hanging out at home with family and friends.
