Samuel Arnold King was born on February 16, 1936 in York County, S.C to the late Jessie Mae and Earnest King. He served in the U.S Navy, where he received an honorable discharge. He married Bertha Beasley in 1958. They later relocated to Harrisburg, PA in the early 60's, where he worked various jobs. Samuel was a musician and an artist and enjoyed many hobbies including fishing, race car driving. Samuel periodically fellowshipped at True Worshippers Ministries. He was very intellectual he enjoyed learning various things ranging from politics to the supernatural. In early May of 2010 Samuel became ill and was hospitalized where he remained in good spirits despite his circumstances. Samuel was preceded in death by his parents, Four brothers, and four sisters all originally from Charlotte NC. He leaves to mourn, but celebrate his legacy his Wife Bertha King, mothers/associates Lois Boswell and Shirley Harper, his children, Samuel Beasley, Weldon King (Vita King ), Gloria Thompson (Pastor Melvin Thompson), Bradley Boswell, Ronald Harper, Sherry Boswell (Paul Lewis), Angela Harper, Glenn Harper, Arnold Harper, three step children, William (Billy) Harper, Andrice (Penny) Bartow, and Samantha King. His brothers Vernell, Vernon, Sylester, and Hermie King, all of Charlotte N.C, Curtis Miller of Hbg, his sisters Jessie K Thorn, and Barbara Richards of Charlotte N.C.; Thirty-eight grand children, thirty-three great grand children, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Sunday, October 31, 2010 at 1:00 p.m., viewing at 12 Noon and burial at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Monday, November 1, 2010 at 10:00 a.m.
