Alexis E. "Daisy Figueroa

Alexis E. “Daisy” Figueroa, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, 76, of Hummelstown, passed away on August 11, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family. Her life was a testament to perseverance, faith, hard work, and unconditional love.

Born on August 1, 1950, in Ecuador, Alexis came to the United States in 1968 at the age of 18 in pursuit of opportunity and a brighter future. Through determination and dedication, she built a life centered on family, faith, and service to others.

Shortly after arriving in the United States, Alexis worked for Mattel, where she helped assemble Barbie dolls. She later worked for L’eggs, packaging pantyhose in the company’s iconic egg-shaped containers. Alexis spent the final years of her career as a seamstress with Cumberland Window Fashions in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, where she worked faithfully until her retirement in 1999.

Alexis was a devoted member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Her faith provided strength and guidance throughout her life and was reflected in the kindness and compassion she extended to everyone she met.

She was preceded in death by her father, Sergio Delgado; her mother, Zoriada Delgado (Morales); and her brothers, Plinio Delgado and Julio Delgado.

Alexis leaves behind a loving family who will forever cherish her memory, including her son, Edwin Sr., and his children, Edwin Jr., Gabrielle, Emiliano, and Alyvia; her son, Kelly (Jackie), and their children, Kayla and Jaxon; and her daughter, Gloria (Roberto) Arroyo, and their sons, Gabryel and Ayden Arroyo.

She is also survived by her sisters, Ivonne, Rosi, Gloria, Zoriada, and Bethsabe; her brothers, Sergio, Guillermo, and Edwin; and many beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.

Of all the roles she held throughout her life, Alexis treasured being a mother and grandmother above all else. She found her greatest joy in spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories through laughter, conversation, and life’s simplest moments. She also enjoyed online games and puzzles, which kept her mind sharp and provided many hours of enjoyment.

Alexis was truly the glue that held her family together. Her unwavering love, strength, wisdom, and generosity touched countless lives. She created a beautiful legacy of resilience, faith, and devotion that will continue through the generations she cherished so deeply.

Although her absence leaves an immeasurable void, her family finds comfort in knowing that their lives are better because she was part of them. Alexis will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered.
