Barbara Nicholson

Barbara Nicholson, 68, of Presbyterian Apartments, peacefully transition into eternal life the afternoon of October 29, 2010. She was a member of The Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church where she served on the Missionary Ministry and the Golden Years Ministry. She was also a member of the Red Hatters Sisters of Class and CATALYST. Barbara retired in 2007 from Capital Blue Cross with 20 years of service. She was a former employee of the Dauphin Deposit Bank and the Harrisburg School System. Barbara leaves to celebrate her life three sons; Michael, Jeffrey and Rodney Nicholson, three daughters: Angela Nicholson, Tracey Isom (Raymond) and Leela Smith (Gary), 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, godson, Chauncey Chambers and a host of relatives and friends. Her life will be celebrated at her church on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and interment in Woodlawn Cemetery. Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. is caring for and handling Ms. Nicholson's arrangements.
