Betty Mae Chase Alexander, affectionately known as “Betty”, was born on February 4, 1946, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. She was born to the late Robert Chase and Beulah London Chase. Betty was educated in the Harrisburg School District. She completed her education in the former William Penn High School. Betty dedicated her early career to Kline Laundry, where she faithfully served for five years. She then committed over a decade to the Dauphin County Home & Hospital. In the later years of her career, Betty was a valued employee of Hershey Foods, Inc., where she dedicated more than 25 years of service before retiring.
Betty’s passion was to help take care of the elderly. She enjoyed arts & crafts making planters with lights for her family and friends. One of her favorite pastimes was sitting and watching old western movies or Family Feud.
As a devoted Christian, Betty was a faithful longtime member of Faith Chapel Church of God in Christ, where she served on the Usher Board. She later became a member of Lingo Memorial Church of God in Christ, continuing her dedicated service as an usher and faithfully attended Sunday School and YPWW.
Betty transitioned from this earthly life to her reward of eternal life on February 12, 2026, in the comfort of her home. She was preceded in death by her husband, George C. Alexander; parents, Robert and Beulah Chase; sisters, Sara Ann “Penny” Chase Talton and Flora Jackson; brother, Robert Jackson; and son-in-law, Robert Bellamy.
