Calvin Warren Haivor was the first of two children born into the marital union of his late parents, Augustus "Calvin" Haivor and Martha (Sue) Elizabeth Warren Haivor.
A proud graduate of William Penn Campus, Class of 1979, Calvin went on to work in a variety of roles that reflected his strong work ethic and friendly spirit. His professional journey included positions at Superior Grocery Store, Mayflower Trucking Company, Penn Supply, and most recently, Keystone Cab Company.
Calvin lived in California for 15 years before returning to Pennsylvania, where he remained through his final years.
He was a devoted partner, father, and friend. Calvin enjoyed reading his Bible in the morning, traveling, comedy shows, and dancing. He was a unique kind kind-hearted person who is irreplaceable and will be truly missed
He was predeceased by his siblings, Jaclyn R. Haivor Taylor, Doris J. Manning, and Daniel P. Havior.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving domestic partner, Robin Bryant, and her family; his son, Basil Alston; his daughters, Genese Rannels and Yasman Ridley; his stepdaughter, Caroline Curran; and his nephew, Lawrence Edwards (Morgan) of Harrisburg. Also surviving are his great-nephew, Lawrence Edwards III of Harrisburg; his great-niece, Brooklyn Winningham of Carlisle; his nieces, Angela Logan (Gray) and Tracy Kent (Lee); great-nephews Quincy and Xavier Garfield of Harrisburg; his Godmother, Rev. Dr. Henrietta Adams of Atlanta, GA, and her family; God-sisters Carmen Henderson-Walker and Lori Henderson of Harrisburg; his cousin, Beatrice Jenkins of South Carolina; a host of grandchildren, other family, and friends.
John 16:33 "These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world."
