Carlos Dickey

Carlos Lamont Dickey, 66, of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on Friday, May 29, 2026, with his loving family by his side. Born in Harrisburg, he was the son of the late Gerald Dickey Sr. and Elvera F. Clark. Carlos was educated in the Harrisburg School District, attending the former William Penn Vo-Tech and graduating with the Class of 1978. He later built a long and dedicated career with Highmark, retiring in 2016.

Following retirement, Carlos embraced his true passion. A naturally gifted craftsman, he possessed an extraordinary ability to build, repair, design, and transform nearly any project placed in his hands—despite having no formal training. His workmanship blessed countless families throughout the Harrisburg community, and his improvements will remain cherished features in many homes for years to come.

Carlos accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Savior at an early age and was baptized at Second Baptist Church of Harrisburg. Endowed with a rich and melodic tenor voice, he faithfully served in the choir. In 2001, he joined Christian Life Worship Center–CLG, where he continued to serve as a devoted worker in ministry. His rendition of The Lord’s Prayer was especially beloved and will be remembered by all who heard it.

Carlos was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald Dickey Sr. and Elvera F. Clark, and his stepfather, Charles F. Clark. He leaves to celebrate his life and legacy his siblings, Gerald Dickey Jr. and Angela Clark‑Brooks (Anthony), along with a host of loving family members and dear friends.
