Carrie Glass age 81 of Bressler, PA, passed peacefully at home with her family after a very long illness Wednesday, October 12th. She leaves to mourn her devoted husband of 62 years, Charles Sr. and her loving daughters, Charlene Glass-Williams and Melanie Glass-Gaskins of Harrisburg and Deborah Glass-Frazier of Memphis, TN, and faithful sons Stephen Glass Sr., of Ellicott City, MD, Charles Glass Jr. of Atlanta, GA, and Timothy Glass of Chicago, IL. The siblings she leaves are Caroline Leach, Stella House, Doris Williams, Mary Harper, Betty McCoy, Joseph and William Miller of Harrisburg, PA, Yvonne Booker of Boston, MA, and Gary Miller of Virginia. She also leaves seventeen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Glass was a member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church of Harrisburg. Her inspiration in life was her family and she strived to live these words "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth." ( III John 4)She loved reading, studying the Bible, painting ceramics, flower gardening and visiting the sick and shut in. Her life will be celebrated at the Capital Presbyterian Church, 1401 Cumberland Street, Tuesday October 18th with the viewing beginning at 11:00a.m. and service at12 noon. Mrs. Glass will be interred in the William Howard Day Cemetery; for monetary gifts of sympathy please send donations to Hospice of Central PA, 98 South Enola Drive, Enola, PA 17025.
