Clark D. Maloney, 53 of Philadelphia entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 16th at Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was the son of Lois Anne Maloney and the late John W. Maloney III.
Clark was a hospitality veteran, an icon in the Philadelphia restaurant and nightclub scene. He also had ownership and influence with Landshark Enterprises, CDMet'al, DreamWeavers, River's Edge Beverage, Cintron, Xando, GST Technologies, Milkbar, Eighth Street Lounge, and Club 111. He consulted and was deeply involved with Whisper, 1925, Leverage Group, Black Banana, Egypt, Revival, Shampoo, Gasoline, Smoke, G Lounge, Fluid, Isla Verde and seems the list never ends.
Clark inherited his teaching and leadership abilities and used them to guide and mentor many. He made it a point of developing and maintaining friendships for life. He enjoyed taking and sharing pictures and stories of his childhood. He was a devoted uncle and his niece and nephew were always by his side.
He is survived by his brother and best friend Gregg (Kristie) and his favorite niece and nephew Ava and Devin, who affectionately called him "Uncle Philly." He is also survived by maternal and paternal Aunts and Uncles as well as dozens of cousins, who were more like brothers and sisters, all of whom he loved tremendously.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the John W. Maloney III memorial scholarship fund at Millford Mill United Methodist Church, Pikesville Maryland at milfordmillchurch.org or to Junior Achievement of the Delaware Valley at jadelaware.org. Other organizations will be formed shortly for donations.
