Cleo Reid

Cleo Reid, 93 of Harrisburg passed peacefully into the arms of Jesus Christ on February 13, 2024. She was born in Ellisville, MS to the late Dudley Howard and Bertha Mae Cooley. 

Cleo was a member of Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and woman of grace and strength, known for her unwavering love and devotion to her family. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, tending to her flowers and most importantly spending time with her family and friends. She touched the lives of all who had the pleasure of knowing her, and her compassion knew no bounds.

 

Along with her parents, she is preceded by her husband Charles Reid, children David Sheppard Jr., James Sheppard, siblings Penzolia Barnes, Rose Howze, Leon House, Ruby Lee Williams, Dudley Howze Jr., Casey Howze, and Essie Brown.

She leaves to celebrate her life, children Howard Sheppard (Gail), Mount Joy, PA, Drs. Johnny Sheppard (Linda), Clarksburg, MD, Patsy Sheppard, Harrisburg, PA, Charles Sheppard, Powder Springs, GA, stepchildren, Fannie Mae Proctor (Lawrence), Sammie Reid (Paulette), Shirley Reid, all of Harrisburg, PA, Charles Reid Jr., Sumpter, SC, siblings, Bernetta “Honey” Benton, Zelma Howze, Leonard Howze, all of Harrisburg, PA and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
