Dashon Michael Walker Banks

Today we gather to celebrate the life of Dashon Michael Walker Banks, who lived an eventful life until he went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2025, at the age of 33.

Dashon was born on June 28, 1992, in Harrisburg, PA to Deidre E. Walker and the late Robert “Butch” Elvin Banks who transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Wednesday, March 5, 2025, at the age of 82.

“Veinto Ocho Banks, 28, 28 Banks” as he was affectionately called by his family and friends. He received his formal education in the Harrisburg City Schools and graduated from Harrisburg High School in 2010. He currently worked for XPO Logistics on the Carlisle Pike and just received a promotion for Commercial Driver License (CDL) driver.

Dashon, as a young child, was involved in all sports, mainly basketball and football and loved being an advocate and coach for the youth and both of his sons Damari and Kanen. His sons were active in soccer, baseball, basketball and football. Dashon was a great father to all 4 of his children and loved them very much and would do anything for them. Dashon was passionate about music, especially rap. He loved making his own music that he showed on his YouTube channel.

Along with his father, he is preceded by his brother Dion H. Britton, paternal grandparents Harry Banks and Reba Geary, maternal grandfather George L. Walker Sr., and Uncle George L. Walker Jr.

He is survived by his mother Deidre Walker, his children Dasani Banks, Damari Banks, Kanen Banks, Gianna Banks, brothers Derel Britton, Jerome Britton, Derrick Edrington, sisters Tanya Banks, Yvette Norfleet (Charles), maternal grandmother Barbara Cameron Walker, stepsister Nicole Wadley, stepbrothers, Justin Wadley & Christian Auter, his favorite cousin Remar Carson and his loving and dedicated special friend, Cassandra Michell Hickerson, along with a host of nieces, nephews, uncle, aunts, and other relatives and friends.

Services for Mr. Dashon M. Walker Banks will be held at 

Grace Temple Church of the Living God, 300 Pine St, Steelton, PA 17113.
