Delphine A. Townes

Delphine A. Townes passed peacefully at Harrisburg Hospital on Wednesday, April 27th in her 102nd year. Delphine was a member of St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church and a member of its Senior Missionary Society, Deaconess Board, Senior Sunday School Class and Senior Center. She retired from the Polyclinic Medical Center as a Nurse's Aide. Delphine was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Townes, a daughter Doris Robinson, a grandson, Garland Robinson and 7 siblings. Her life will be celebrated at her church on Tuesday, May 3rd with a viewing at 10:00 a.m. and services at 11:00 a.m., interment at William Howard Day Cemetery. Delphine leaves to celebrate her memory, her nieces, Ms. Esther Allen of Florida, Dr. Alfreda Johnson of Harrisburg, Ms. Barbara Lamb of Florida, Ms. Annette Monier of NY, a cousin Eva Wise of NY, a close friend Delores Shepard and a host of other relatives and friends.
