DeShanna’s Obituary

DeShanna LaShay Boykin, age 36, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, partner, and friend. Born in Kansas City, MO. She lived in Harrisburg, PA. Went home to glory on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. DeShanna was a giving and loving person. She loved her family and friends deeply. She was always helping someone in need, if she could, and was always supportive. She loved hard and had great expectations for those that were around her, and she never wanted to hurt or upset others.

DeShanna was a spiritual woman who knew and trusted the lord. She adored all of her siblings. She was a great cook and enjoyed laughing and joking with her family and friends. She enjoyed her life to the fullest with no regrets or explanations. She had dreams of being a wife, mother, and a restaurant owner. She did things her way no matter what anyone thought or said.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father and mother, Kenneth and Yolanda Greene, along with her sisters Dijor Boykin, Nikenye Greene, and Celesse Greene. Along with the 2 nephews, Jayke’ and Ja’von, and her partner Derrin Wheeler and his 2 children. In addition to her extended Boykin family.

A memorial service to celebrate DeShanna’s life will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM. At Hooper Memorial Home in Harrisburg, PA. Her family is grateful for kindness, support, and prayers during this time.
