Donna L. Warren

Donna Louise Warren (Weezy), the “Gifted Love Child” of the Warren Family was born May 31, 1966 to the late Frederick A. Minor and Dorothy Warren-Pitman. She grew up with seven siblings who loved her dearly. Donna grew up in North Philadelphia, Pa and a graduate of Germantown High School. She is a former employee of the YMCA in Philadelphia and the US Postal Service in Greensboro, NC.

Unfortunately, she inherited the disease of Schizophrenia, shortly after graduating high school, which limited her abilities to socialize with everyone. However, if you were a chosen one that she interacted with, you were with a true friend. Her attribute was taking care of others even in her times of need. But her true giftto this world was to give children who were less fortunate everything they may not have been able to receive. Due to her disease she missed most of her own daughter’s upcoming; and to make amends she consistently bought her gifts that she may have wanted as a child. And she would spend her last nickel to make sure her other nieces and nephews would get something too; no matter what their ages. Too see her is to smile; even in her times of hardship she found a way to make you laugh. It was God’s way of showing us life just ain’t that bad. We believe that she’s smiling and laughing and looking down on us saying, “I’m home and now I’m safe. Don’t y’all worry about me; now go home and be nice to your family.”

She is preceded in death by her stepfather Otis Pitman, brother Frederick Minor Jr., Sisters Celestine Warren and Cynthia Minor. She leaves to cherish her memory: her daughter Alisa Warren; five brothers: Desmond, Michael (Victoria), Talmadge (Tamara) Warren, Russell Johnson, Frederick Fulmore; five sisters: Min. Tawanna (Jeremiah) Jackson, Tracy Warren, Michelle Johnson, Carol and Frederica Minor; and a host of relatives and friends.
