Dorothy M. Fortune

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose" Dorothy M. Fortune, 78, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in Colonial Park Care Center. Dorothy retired from the Susquehanna Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as a nursing assistant. She was a former member of Greater Zion Missionary Baptist Church and held a membership with the International Society of Poets. Dorothy also enjoyed writing and reading. She leaves to celebrate her memory her children; Doreen Harvey, Robin Bolling, Sherman and Jerome Harvey all of Harrisburg, siblings, Betty Crumby of New York, Sam Crumby of Michigan and recently predeceased by Freddie Crumby , also survived by 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends. Services will be held on Monday, April 19, 2010 at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. with burial in Paxtang Cemetery. The family is appreciative of your acts of kindness during their time of bereavement.
