Dorothy A. Stewart

Ms. Dorothy Ann Stewart was born June 20, 1951 in Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, daughter of the late Paul A. Stewart Sr. and Verla Mae France Stewart, she was also predeceased by 4 siblings; Sammy Stewart, Lois Martin, Paul Stewart, Jr. and Thomas Stewart.

She gracefully held God’s hand on January 19, 2020.  Survived by her two children, Tammy M. Palermo (Daniel), son Ricky L. Bratcher and four grandchildren, Jeffrey Jr. (Jayme) and Raquel Snead; Brianna and Jacob Bratcher and five great grandchildren, six siblings; Mae Washington, William Stewart, Sue (Ron) Brown, Donald (Nancy) Stewart, Roger Stewart, Barbara (James) Gentry and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy loved watching the Game Show Network, Law and investigation shows, and Classic Western movies. Her desire for watching game shows was her way to stay connected to learning.  She was reserved and quiet, but at times, very feisty and freely spoke her mind.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed their company and phone conversations.    

She didn’t allow life’s challenges to win; she continuously and passionately fought with her faith in God. Toward the end of her journey, she found peace accepting the Lord as her savior.
