Elfreida E. Grant

Elfreida E. Grant, 82, of Harrisburg, passed peacefully at home on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. Elfreida was a native of Barbados; the daughter of the late Joseph and Adelaide Griffith and widow of Frank Grant and predeceased by a grandson, David Selvey, Jr. She retired from the Harrisburg School District and work in the commissary with nearly 30 years of service. A member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, prior membership with Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, its church council and she enjoyed cooking, knitting crossword puzzles and entertaining. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her children; Linda Grant, Joycelyn Selvey and Adaline Grant of Harrisburg, Frank H. Grant Jr. of Pittsburgh, 4 sisters, 2 brothers, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-grand child, several nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Services for Mrs. Grant will be held at her church, 118 State Street, Harrisburg on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:00 a.m. and burial at St. Lucy Parish Church Cemetery in Barbados.
