We are here today, to witness the homegoing service for the late Ethel “Jean” Daniel. She lived 88 wonderful years on this earth and went home to be with the Lord on July 18, 2020.
Jean was born in Harrisburg PA on September 4, 1931, and returned to the capital city in her later years which became her final resting place. She received her early education in the state of Georgia, and was a graduate of Shellman Vocational High School. However, she was actually a longtime resident in the “City of Brotherly Love,” Philadelphia PA, where she lived for 61 years. While in Philadelphia, she developed a love for Phillies baseball. If you happened to visit her during the season, you were destined to fine baseball on her TV or radio.
Jean was a giving soul, and spent 41 years of service providing comfort as a registered nurse at Temple University Hospital, Episcopal Campus where she shared her knowledge and experience as a “Floor Leader.” After a long and dedicated career, she retired from nursing in 1998.
Jean enjoyed a simple life. She was content with the things she could provide within her own means. She enjoyed time with family and friends more than anything else. She was always willing to lend a hand, and comfort others in times of need. We will miss her love and kindness.
Ethel Jean Daniel was born to the late Lovett Daniel Sr. and Sallie Mae Davis. She is survived by her nephews Lovett Anton (& wife Annette) Daniels and Timothy (& wife Cynthia) Daniels Sr., several great-grand nieces & nephews, extended family and friends in the states of Florida, Georgia and Pennsylvania.
