Felicia Lorene Landon, affectionately known as “Sissy”, 68 years of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023. Sissy was born on Friday, February 25, 1955, to the late Ezell Monts and Alice Talley-Monts. A 1973 graduate of John Harris High School, “Go Pioneers”! Where she was head of the Black Student Union & Student Government, not just in high school, but during her time spent at Lock Haven State College.
Sissy retired from USF&G once the company shut its doors in 1998. She then went on to work at Brookwood Farms until her health didn’t allow her to continue strenuous work, she then went on to work various jobs throughout the course of her life.
Always known for her straight to the point disposition she still could throw a joke in there to make you laugh. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed throwing cookouts and family gatherings. She also enjoyed fishing, watching Dog the Bounty Hunter and had a deep love for art, her favorite being paintings by Norman Rockwell.
Sissy was predeceased in death by her brother Ezell Monts Jr., nephew Mykell Monts and her life companion John “Mr. Pork” Boutselis. She is survived by her devoted sons, Brandon W.E. Landon and Perry S. Landon, Jr. (Ra’Sheenya), her stepdaughter Ayana R. Landon, 6 grandchildren: Carter, Branae’, Jah’lya, Ariyan, B.J. and Ra’Sun. She is also survived by her siblings, Suzanne Robinson, Byron (Charlene) Monts, and William “Skip” Monts as well as a host of extended family and friends.
