Ida L. Moffitt, surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 6, 2023, in her 84th year. She was born on June 15, 1938 in Wadesboro, North Carolina to the late John and Ann Hunter. 

 

Ida retired from Polyclinic Medical Center where she worked in the dietary department for 37 years - where she served as a Union Delegate.  After retiring she took her talents to Ecumenical Retirement Community to serve their community.   

 

 She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and enjoyed going to the casino, watching the Game Show Network, and doing crossword puzzles.  

 

Ida is predeceased by her husband, John Moffitt. Her four brothers, Henry and Earnell Hunter, Wadesboro, NC, James and Johnny Hunter, Harrisburg, PA; and two sisters, Glendora Charles, Harrisburg, PA and Doretha Steele, Fayetteville, NC.  

 

She leaves to celebrate her life and cherish the many memories her children, Troy Moffitt and Jason (Traci) Moffitt, Harrisburg, PA; Ivan (Melissa) Moffitt, Wilkes-Barre, PA; Crystal Moffitt and Sheila Julius, Harrisburg, PA; and April (Antonio) McClenton, St. George, SC; siblings, Annie Mae Hunter and Sandra Hunter, Harrisburg, PA; Hannah Lyle, Philadelphia, PA; and Roger Hunter, Wadesboro, NC. Ida was blessed with over fifty grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many relatives and friends.
