Emblem

Irene Davis was born on October 24,1936, in Sale City, Georgia. She answered God's call to be picked for his bouquet of flowers on December 22, 2022, in Harrisburg, PA. She was 86 years-old.

Irene married Elder Eddie Davis on June 9, 1965, and resided with him in Harrisburg, PA. The couple had three children over the course of their union. Irene was a woman of God and attended Shiloh Church Of God In Christ for many years, never wavering in her faith.

Irene retired from the Dauphin County Home/Dauphin Manor as a nurse's aid and housekeeper after 28 years. After which she devoted her life to her family and hobbies.

Irene was affectionately known as 'Mama or Mother Davis' by many. She was also known for her love of reading the Bible, working with the Society of Volunteer Women, attending Sunday school, helping out in the church kitchen for Sunday school and Vacation Bible School, traveling, completing coloring books, working on word search puzzles, and collecting the following: magnets, porcelain angels, porcelain elephants, hats, and blankets.

Irene is preceded in death by her husband Elder Eddie Davis, her parents Grover and Martha Harmon, her eleven siblings: Williene Harmon, Susie Mae Harmon, Robert Harmon, James Harmon, Willie Harmon, Grover Harmon Jr, Dallas Harmon, Arttie Harmon, Every Harmon, and Lena Hobbs, as well as her two stepsons: O’Dell Davis Sr. and Edward Davis.

Irene leaves to cherish her love and memories of her three children: MaryAnn (Joseph) Robinson, Mark Harmon, and Toney Davis Sr., all of Harrisburg, PA. Three step-daughters: Levina McMillan, Cecilia Davis, and Dorethea Baney, of Dover, PA, two step-sons: Robert Davis, of York, PA, and Gary Davis of Washington, D.C, and one godson, Albert Halty, of Harrisburg, PA. She also leaves five grandchildren: Toney (Elenie) Davis Jr, Christopher (Krista) Davis, Kiersten Davis, Ariel Davis-Robinson, and Joshua Harmon, as well as  four great-grandchildren: Zhana Davis, Jorel McClendon, Olivia Davis, and Travis Davis, and a host of family and friends.

Irene was known for her unconditional love which touched many individuals, who in their hearts knew her as a mom, a grandma, a sister, an aunt, a friend, and a mentor. We want to acknowledge those who knew her in this way and honor the relationship they had with her.
