James Eugene Diggs

We are saddened to announce the passing of Mr. James E. Diggs, 88 of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, who transitioned from this earthly life to eternal life on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at River's Bend Health and Rehab Center. James was born on September 17, 1937 in Shelby, North Carolina to the late John and Dorothy (Pressley) Diggs. He was also preceded in death by his grandmother Mrs. Mary Hailey Diggs, his grandfather, the Reverend James Diggs and his brother, Huley Diggs.

James attended and enjoyed the worship hour at Deliverance Temple Church, in Harrisburg, PA. He labor for many years in construction for both the City of Boston and the City of Harrisburg. James was a man of many words, he enjoyed a great conversation and a healthy debate. It bought joy to James in spending quality time with his family and his friends. He also enjoyed sports, especially his favorite team, the New England Patriots. James also liked traveling, fishing and shooting pool.

James leaves to celebrate his life and memory, several devoted nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. James will be sadly missed.
