James "Taboo" Phillips, 67 was born on September 18, 1955 in Pahokee, Florida. He was the son of the late Pearl Harvey. However, he was raised by his mother’s sister, Virginia Coleman in New Brunswick, New Jersey.
James lived his early years in New Brunswick, New Jersey. He met Lucille McDonald in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; they later married on March 20, 1975 in New Jersey. They had two children. He loved his family and adored his Baby Girl, Kisha. James was known for taking long walks and listening to his music.
James Phillips leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife, Lucille Phillips, son, Rashein Phillips, Sr. and daughter, Kisha Phillips; step-daughter, Alzrio McDonald; six grandchildren, Ariel McDonald; Rashein, Jr, Nyjah, and Che’Rae Phillips; Keimari and Kyree Parsons; one great-grandchild, Carter Pate; and a host of relatives and friends.
