James T. Weedon Sr.

James T. Weedon Sr., 96 of Harrisburg, passed on September 12, 2017. He was the son of the late George and Fannie Weedon, predeceased by his wife, Edith Weedon and son, Thomas Jones. James was an Army Veteran, member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, Treasurer of the Men’s Club and served on the Property Committee. He was past President of the Beagle Club; bowling, basketball and baseball instructor and coach. In addition, James played for the Harrisburg Giant Negro League and was inducted to the Greater Harrisburg USBC Hall of Fame. He leaves his children; James T. Weedon, Jr., Diane Quartlebaum (Willie James) and Ingrid Hyman (James), brother Donald S. Weedon, 10 grand, 27 great and 6 great-great grandchildren with a host of relatives and friends.
