Janice Moon

With heavy hearts and cherished memories, we announce the passing of Janice Moon, who entered eternal rest on August 3, 2025, at the age of 71. Born on October 10, 1953, in Charles Town, WV, Janice lived a life filled with love, laughter, and resilience, ultimately calling Harrisburg, PA, her home.

Janice was a devoted mother to her daughter, Michelle Crosby (Sean Crosby, Sr.), and sons, James Fletcher and Barquette Totton. She also embraced the role of a loving stepmother to Isaiah Moon Jr., Tracy Moon, Tirrell Moon, Dwana Moon, and Ty Shawn McDonald. In every heartbeat of her family, whether it be her children or her grandchildren, Janice's spirit resonated, lighting up their lives with her warmth and kindness.

She was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Rosalie Fox and Nathaniel Hall, as well as her late brothers Raymond Hall and Junie Hall. Janice leaves behind cherished memories of her surviving brothers, Michael Hall and Rossen Hall, alongside a host of nieces and nephews, including Raymond Hall Jr., Raymond Reynolds, Cassandra Fletcher, Teresa Dennis, and Lisa and Janet Bailey, whose lives were touched by her enduring love.

As a long-time secretary in the healthcare field, she dedicated her career to serving others at Harrisburg Hospital. Her compassion extended beyond her profession, wrapping around family and friends like a warm embrace, always ready to lend an ear or share a smile. Janice was more than just a name; she was a confidante, a storyteller, and a light in the lives of many.

Janice's legacy lives on through her grandchildren—Cha’Nisha Fletcher, Andrè Fletcher, Michael Wilson, and many more—whose lives she enriched with love, laughter, and a sense of belonging. She also reveled in the joy of her great-grandchildren, whose bright futures she watched with pride.
