Jennifer "Diane" Fennell, a mighty believer in God, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 20, 2026. Jennifer was born on June 13, 1962, in Gifford, Florida, to Maude Esther (nee Fennell) Harrington of Bridgeton, New Jersey, and the late Addington Allen of Nassau, Bahamas. She moved to Bridgeton as a child and earned her diploma from Bridgeton High School. While raising a family of 6 children, Jennifer was formerly employed by Seabrooks Brothers and Sons. She later worked as a home health aide, a commercial driver, and retired after working with the Mayo Cleveland Clinic in Vero Beach, Florida as a receptionist.
She lived her life as a devoted Christian. Jennifer was a member of Bethlehem Revival Temple, where she served as a Sunday school teacher, was a member of the praise and worship team, and tended the garden.
Affectionately referred to by her mom as "DiDi Heart," she was kind-hearted, sweet as sugar, and had a heart of gold. Diane loved to celebrate special family moments, enjoyed life's simple blessings, and always found a reason to laugh. She liked to travel, shop, and held the family together through prayer and her excellent cooking skills. Diane believed in telling it straight and standing up for what is right. Diane's most treasured role was being a loving daughter, mother, sister, and grandmother. She always thought about her family.
Finally, from tough times coming up as a child until her last days, Diane didn't believe in giving up. She continued to put on the whole armor of God and fought tirelessly. She was steadfast in her faith and wanted those she loved to know that it was better to be saved than anything else. In her latter days, Jennifer attended Healing Center Church, where Bishop Joseph B. Turner is the Pastor and Presiding Bishop.
Jennifer departed peacefully on April 20, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness, and to cherish her memory, her five children Eddie Fennell, Joyce Fennell, R.N., Antoine Fennell, Sr., M.A. and his wife Sherrie Fennell, Michelle Fennell and her husband Micheal Conn, the Honorable Judge Melvina Fennell and her husband Donte Mears; her mother Maude Esther Harrington; her two sisters, Shirley and Lisa Harrington; her two brothers, Michael and Keith Harrington; 16 grandchildren, and a host of other relatives, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her son, Marcus Jermaine Fennell, her father, Addington Allen, and her infant sister, Jessica Fennell.
Although she is not here now, Jennifer wanted everyone to know that she was and is in the presence of the Lord. Lastly, she loved you all and thanks you for your care and prayers.
Services will be held on Saturday, May 1, 2026, at the Healing Center Church.
Interment will be in Paxtang Cemetery.
