Joseph Britton

Joseph Britton ( Joe) born June 16, 1939 entered into peaceful rest on January 15, 2026 he was the last born child of the late Milton Britton Jr and Willa Mae Williams Britton

Joe received his formal education in the Cherry Grove School District located in Washington Georgia and was baptized at an early age and united with the Cherry Grove Baptist Church in Washington Georgia

In addition to his parents Joe was preceded by his two sisters Doris Holliman and Thelma Britton six brothers Edison James Raymond Marion Bolean and Milton Britton and his beloved one son Christopher Britton Sr

Joe retired from Giant foods as a Meat Cutter after 37 years of dedicated service he also was a faithful member of Locust Lane Chapel in Edgemont Pennsylvania where he took pride in taking care of the lawn and enjoyed ringing the Church Bell after Christmas Eve Service

In his leisure time Joe enjoyed hanging out with his friends at the Broad Street Market every Friday morning mowing his lawn and helping others with theirs. He also enjoyed washing and shining his and others vehicles. Joe loved a shinny clean car he also loved to dance and could go all night as long as he had a partner he was as the true dancing machine

Joe leaves to celebrate and cherish his life his wife of 46 years Yvonne Britton his daughter Juanita (Nita) Britton; four sons Joseph A, Jerome and Michael Britton all of Harrisburg and Brian Stevens (Yulonda) of Raeford North Carolina and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren nieces nephews cousins and friends
