Joshua Y. Lopez

Joshua Lopez passed peacefully on the wings of angels on Thursday, August 7, 2025, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, at the age of 17.

Born July 9, 2008, in Hollywood, Florida, to Ramon Lopez and Lily DeJesus, Joshua entered the world a beautiful baby boy, weighing 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and measuring 19 ¼ inches long.

After moving from Florida, Joshua and his family made their home in York, Pennsylvania. He was educated in the School District of the City of York, where he proudly earned his high school diploma. Joshua deeply loved life’s simple joys, playing video games, taking walks with friends, and spending time with his beloved dog, MaryJane. A devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan, Joshua cheered for the team with great enthusiasm and admired both the game and its players.

Joshua was preceded in death by his stepfather, Robert; his brother, Isaias; and his sister, Cattleya. He is survived by his loving mother, Lily DeJesus; father, Ramon Lopez; grandmothers, Maria Yorro and Annette Thoman; uncle, Jose Rentas; and a host of extended family, friends, and his firefighter family in York, PA.

Joshua’s Celebration of Life Service will be held on Friday, August 15, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc., 3532 Walnut Street, Harrisburg, PA 17109, with viewing beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at Hershey Cemetery, Hershey, PA.
