Kamari Isaiah Waddy, 15, of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, affectionately known as KK and Mari, entered into eternal rest on July 11, 2025. Born on January 15, 2010, in Towson, Maryland, Kamari was the beloved son of Shameka Alicia Carey and the late Andre David Waddy.
Kamari was preparing to enter the 10th grade at Shippensburg Senior High School, full of ambition and promise. A young man of many talents and interests, Kamari had recently been offered a position at Jersey Mike’s and looked forward to the opportunity with excitement.
He was a beloved son, grandson, and uncle. Known for his infectious smile, generous spirit, and vibrant personality, Kamari found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid basketball player, a lover of anime, and a skilled swimmer. Kamari enjoyed experimenting in the kitchen, proudly embracing his identity as a true foodie. His dream was to turn his passion for gaming into a lifelong career, and he often spoke of a future full of possibilities and purpose.
Kamari's presence lit up every room. He was the kind of friend who showed up when you needed him and a brother whose heart knew no bounds. Whether through his laughter, his loyalty, or the dreams he spoke of with excitement, Kamari brought joy and hope to those around him. His kindness and love for life will be forever cherished.
Leaving a plethora of cherished memories to celebrate his life, his devoted mother, Shameka Alica Carey; siblings Andre Waddy Jr., Maliq J. Carey, Tyshawn M. Brown, Micah D. Waddy, Makenzie A. Waddy, and Jasmine Waddy; grandparents Lisa (Ralph) Fisher, Kevin (Venicia) Carey, Patrick (Tameka) Gibbs, Andrea Waddy, and William (Delores) Waddy; one adored niece, baby Spirit Noelle Mae Brown; cherished friends Coltrane, Addison, Antonio, Anjala, Nyla, Yoelmy and Cameron; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family who will carry his memory in their hearts forever.
Kamari lived a life full of light, love, and potential. Though his time with us was far too short, the love he gave and the light he shared will forever live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
