Karen L. Linville

Karen L. Linville, 57 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Friday, March 14, 2014 in Harrisburg Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Mary L Smith and retired from both, Harrisburg School District and the Commonwealth of PA the Department of Transportation. Karen was a member of Harrisburg Church of Christ, the Children’s Ministry, and a volunteer for disable children at Harrisburg State Hospital. She participated at various soup kitchens and served at various children’s organizations. She leaves to celebrate her life and memory her siblings; Yvonne Smith, Jeannette Harper, Kay William, Mary, Homer, Renee and Johnathan Smith all of Harrisburg11 nieces and nephews, 16 great-nieces and nephews, a host of family, friends and congregation members. Funeral Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home, Inc. on Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 11:00 a.m., no viewing at Karen’s request and a visitation hour with the family starting at 10:00 a.m.
