Lois Stevenson

Lois Stevenson, the daughter of (beloved) Queen Ester McBride Sherard and Napolean Sherard was born on December 3,1942 in Winston Salem North Carolina. She departed this life on June 10, 2018. She resided the majority of her life in Pennsylvania and then moved to Dunn, North Carolina where she lived with her daughter Angela singleton up until the time she became ill. She lived the rest of her life at Harnett Woods Nursing facility in Erwin, North Carolina where she enjoyed different activities and meet a lot of new friends. Everyone loved her, she was really one of a kind, a sweet, loving, caring person who anyone loved to be around. Preceded in death sister Norma Dreher. Survivors include sister: Barbara Ann Greene, brothers: Cedric Sherard, Napolean Sherard Jr., Novel Sherard daughters: Angela Singleton; husband Michael Singleton, Rochelle Mills sons: Clarence Sherard, Fredrick Moore, Fernando Moore, grandchildren: Angela Sherard, Erica Ramsey, Clarence Sinkler, Tanesha Sinkler, Lanesha Sherard, Laquanda Moore, Lashay Sherard, Sylena Mills, Marasia Gillis, Marvin Gillis, Justin Ferrell; sixteen great grandchildren and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends. Special remarks by daughter Angela Singleton: I’m so glad I was able to spend time with my mom. The last seven years of her life she resided with me and I was able to see her before she departed this life. She was my everything, my backbone there won’t be a day that goes by that I will not think of you and all the times we shared together. You will be truly missed and loved mom. I know you’re in a better place just continue to look down on me.
