Mamie Sue Wallace (Carter) was born to the late Minnie Sue Carter and Mack Carter Sr. in York, South Carolina on April 10, 1949. She was the third child of nineteen. She was also predeceased by siblings; Amelia Hope, Mack Carter Jr., Mary Carter, James Simpson, Mattie Carter and Marie Burns.

Mamie Sue Wallace (Carter) moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania with her family and she attended Hamilton Elementary School. She graduated from William Penn Vo-Tech.

After graduating she worked in numerous fields from pediatrics to the New Cumberland Army Depot.

Mamie enjoyed listening to praise and worship music, attending church services regularly. She always enjoyed helping others and was a great listener. Most of all she loved to read and praise God. She was a long time member of Glory to God in the Highest Ministries Apostolic Training Center.

Mamie’s home going has and will continue to have an impact on many of our lives. Her knowledge and spirit has touched many of us. Mamie leaves her husband James H. Wallace Jr., her son Juan Carter Sr., daughters Cherylrena Watts and Keturah Clarke, grandchildren; Miracle French, Juan Jr., David, Jacob and Steven Carter, Michelle Alessi, Malissa Sanchez, Jabriel Tyler, Javonte Watts, Teyana Perry, 17 great-grandchildren, siblings Lucille Layton, Ruthie Brown, Bobbie Carter, Delores Pope, Susan Carter, David, John, Jeffrey, Larry, Johnny, Salley Moore and Frances Carters.

Mamie is finally peacefully being reunited with her mother, father and her 6 siblings. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends and acquaintances who will always remember her presence and who will dearly miss her.
