His three children; sons, Tai-Lynn Colbert Armstrong, Alijah Vincent (Bubby) Armstrong and his only daughter, Malaysha Mone’ (Layla) Armstrong, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.
Matthew attended Central Dauphin East High School and received his diploma. He desired to study graphic arts and illustration. Matthew worked in the restaurant industry, as he really loved to cook and prepare food for people. Matthew enjoyed spending time with his kids, his family and taking family trips. Matthew enjoyed playing pool; baseball, horseshoe, cooking on the grill, bike riding, football and host of other outdoor activities. Matthew was a jokester, he loved to laugh and tease. He was a free-spirited soul that would help anyone in need. Matthew was very kind, intelligent and a straightforward person. Matthew lived his life by being true to himself. Although Matthew battled for years with addiction, he wanted more from life than being an addict. He tried multiple times to overcome the battle, unfortunately, the addiction won. Matthew made no excuses for his life and tried his best to live it to the fullest. He was the most giving, funny and loving son, brother, father and friend to those around him. He would take food to the homeless, blankets and coats to keep them warm, as he knew firsthand the struggles of the streets. He loved life and loved doing for other people.
You are gone son, but will never be forgotten. We love you more than you could of ever known. It was my honor to birth you into this world and now, we must with HEAVY hearts, walk you out of this world! FLY high Matthew, you can finally REST in PEACE, your struggles are over our love….as you would say “MIND OVER MATTER”.
