Maxie Wiley

Maxie Wiley, 72 of Harrisburg, passed peacefully on Wednesday, March 20, 2024. He was the son of the late Edgar Smith and Dorothy G. Wiley Reeves. He was also predeceased by a daughter, Carla D. Anderson, and a brother Oscar Reeves. Maxie was born in Sandersville, Georgia and he later re-located with his family to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

Maxie graduated from the Harrisburg School District, following his graduation he enlisted in the United States Army, serving honorably during the Vietnam War. After his tour of duty, Maxie continued to work for the federal government, working at the Mechanicsburg Army Depot as a forklift operator. Maxie retired after many years of dedicated service.

Maxie was a member of Mt. Calvary Church of God in Christ and loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a IT tech buff, enjoyed music and was a collector of many things.

Maxie leaves his devoted wife, Marjorie J. (Brandon) Wiley, two daughters, Rachel Wiley and Lakisha Wiley, his siblings; Sherman Reeves, Areles Reeves - Luckette, Willie Reeves, Arlean Reeves - Breen and Terrie Reeves, 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of additional family members and friends.
