Myrtha Ortiz

Myrtha Ortiz-Benitez peacefully entered eternal rest on February 2, 2026, at the age of 90. She was born in Caguas , Puerto Rico on April 5, 1935. She lived a long, meaningful life rooted in love, faith, and family.

Myrtha was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She was the foundation of her family-a woman of strength, compassion, and quiet wisdom whose love extended across generations. Her presence brought comfort, her words brought guidance, and her embrace brought peace. To know her was to feel loved.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Gordo, whom she now reunites with in eternal peace.

Myrtha is survived by her two sisters Puruca & Milagros, her loving children: Tito, Rafi, Ivonne, and Lourdes.

She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren: Feeto, Pito, Milton, Becky, Betsy, Ruben, Ashley, Alex, Lakeesha, Michael, Raisa, Marina, Shantelle, Jonathan, Kate, Tessa, Tiffany, and Jose.

Myrtha was further blessed with 21 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren, each a living reflection of her enduring legacy of love and family.

A homegoing service celebrating the life of Myrtha Ortiz Benitez will be held on February 4, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Hooper Memorial Home in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania . Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance and honor a life that touched so many hearts.

Though she has departed this earthly life, Myrtha's love remains everlasting. Her memory will be carried forward through the generations she nurtured and the lives she shaped. She will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
