Myrtle Vivian Holloway, formerly of Johnstown, PA passed peacefully August 22, 2006, at Spring Creek Nursing Home. She leaves to mourn her brother-in-law, John Herndon, of Harrisburg, husband of her late sister, Edna Holloway Herndon; in addition she leaves close friends, Pat Spader, Genny Chirdon and her God-daughter, Carrie Morris. Vivian was a drummer in the famed women's band "Sweethearts of Rhythm" during World War II. Later she was a clerk at the old Greenberg's Clothing Store on Market Street in Harrisburg and she was a member of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Her life will be celebrated in the Hooper Memorial Home, 1PM August 28, 2006; with viewing at 12 noon. Her interment will be in the Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown, Pa. The family greatly acknowledges all of your acts of kindness during their bereaved period.
