Patricia S. Griffie

On Monday, October 16, 2023 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 78, Patricia Suzanne Griffie passed away peacefully surrounded by family.  

Patricia’s life story began when she was born April 25, 1945 in Cambridge, England to Edward and Catherine Morgan. The Morgan family immigrated to the United States in 1953.  She was proud to become a United States citizen.

Patricia leaves to celebrate her life and memory her daughters,  Pamela Labella (Bradford Labella) and Paige Griffie (Thomas Hylan); grandchildren Justice Williams, Kaitlyn Labella, Morgan Labella, Abel Hylan and Autumn Hylan;  great grandchildren, Zephyr and Xander Williams; as well as, nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends.

Patricia has always surrounded herself with her family. She stated often “Family is the most important thing”.  She loved to spoil her grandchildren. She loved to celebrate birthdays and holidays and wouldn’t miss a school activity or sporting event.  The out-of-state grandchildren would receive special packages with “nana loves you” cards.   She made sure every family member knew how much she loved them.

Patricia’s favorite things to do were talking with others and shopping. She could mill a store with the best of them.

Patricia was often referred to as Pat, Mom, Nana, Aunt and friend. She will be missed and loved by everyone she touched.
