Peggy L. Watson-Scott

Peggy L. Watson-Scott, 82, born in Lewistown, North Carolina on July 2,1940. She was the daughter of the late George Edward Watson and Ida Mae Williams-Watson. On Thursday July 21 st , 2022, Peggy transitioned from the labor of life into the reward of eternal life at her home. She is preceded in death by her sister Janice Watson-Holmes, (Brothers) General L. Watson, Hubert Watson, Randolph Watson Sr., and Classified as Confidential Ben “Boot” Watson.

 

Peggy received her formal education starting at Bertie County Elementary and thereafter John B. Bonds High School in North Carolina. She then furthered her education studying at Elizabeth City State University, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in teaching. With all her accolades Peggy decided to relocate to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to become an educator for

the Harrisburg School District. Peggy served for over 30 plus years earning numerous achievements before her retirement. In her leisure, Peggy enjoyed bowling, cooking, traveling on multiple excursions with her husband and spending time with family and friends.

 

Leaving to treasure Peggy’s unforgettable memories is her brother, Eddie L. Watson of Mechanicsville, Va., loving husband, Alfonie R. Scott, Jr. to whom she had known for over 40 years and shared five stepchildren with. Peggy also leaves behind her 14 nieces,14 nephews, great nieces, great nephews and a host of relatives and friends.
