Portia Taylor

Portia E. Taylor, 77,  passed away on December 30, 2022 in Dunn, North Carolina. Portia (Nanny) was born in Harrisburg Pennsylvania on February 25, 1945. 

She graduated from William Penn High school. She furthered her education as she attended Harrisburg Area Community College to pursue a career in nursing before working at Harrisburg hospital. She later embarked on a career as a Correctional officer at Dauphin county prison before  finally retiring after years of service with AAA. 

She will be reunited in heaven with her mother, Anna Lee Cornelius, siblings, Patricia Simmons, Clark Cornelius, and her beloved daughter, DeAna L. Cornelius. 

Portia is survived by her children,Anthony Cornelius, Rochelle White, and Shannon Taylor, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. mPortia was a loving mother, great grandmother, aunt, sister and friend who will be deeply missed.
