Reuben R. Barker Sr

"To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose" Reuben R. Barker Sr. (Val), 76, passed peacefully on Tuesday, September 22, 2009 at Community General Hospital. Reuben was a bus driver for First Student. He retired from York International and Heil Company as a welder and Dauphin County Area Agency on Aging as a truck driver. Reuben was a member of Goodwin Memorial Baptist Church and a former member of Chosen Friends Lodge # 43 PHAFAM. He loved to travel. He leaves to celebrate his life and memory his wife, Elaine Barker, his children; Doris Crimmins, Reuben R. Barker Jr., Tanya Fitts, Francine Barker, step-children, Michael and Leon Jones, siblings; Phyllis, Florine, Enell, Hyacinth, Valance, Reynold, Wilfred, Everton and Vear Barker, 9 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and a host of relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be held at Hooper Memorial Home on Monday, September 28, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The family appreciates your support and kindness during their time of bereavement.
