Richard D. Stevens, 80 of Harrisburg, surrounded by his family went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Richard was born on August 28, 1935 in St. Petersburg, Florida to the late Walter Stevens Sr. and Carrie Williams Stevens. He was reared in Steelton, Pennsylvania, attended Steelton High School and the family later moved to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania in 1955.
Richard was an Army Veteran, was self employed and had his own business as an Accountant. He was a member of Legion Post #733 and the Steelton Elks. He enjoyed dancing, sports and jazz. He was affectionately known as Hooley â Boo, by his family and friends.
Richard is survived by his children Robert Owens and Nashell Patterson, his siblings; Ethel Stevens, Walter Stevens Jr., Freddie Stevens and Theodis Stevens, 7 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
