Ronald Robert Rhen, 77, passed away on October 16, 2023.Ron was born on March 2, 1946 in Lebanon, PA, to Paul Rhen and Gladys (Lebo) Rhen. Ronald had three brothers, Dennis, Thomas and Neil.

 

Ron graduated from Northern Lebanon in 1964. He worked at Quaker Alloy in Myerstown as a supervisor for most of his career. Ron married Sharon Boyer on August 28, 1971. Their first date was a Hershey Bears game. They lived in Lebanon, Fredericksburg and Palmyra during their lengthy marriage and recently moved into Country Meadows in Hershey. The couple had 1 child, Jessica Rhen of Harrisburg. Ronald enjoyed working outside in his garden and tending his yard. He was a dedicated supporter of Penn State football and attended many games as a season ticket holder over the years with his brother Dennis. Ron crossed an item on his bucket list when he attended the Fiesta Bowl with his daughter and watched Penn State win a few years ago. He was a season ticket holder and rooted for the Hershey Bears for almost 20 years with his daughter Jessica and his wife Sharon and brother Tom also attended for years with him. The Hershey bears was always a part of his life, he took Sharon on their first date there. He also enjoyed eating out at various restaurants with his wife and going to listen to the bands at HersheyPark Amphitheater and most recently at the Rehoboth Beach Bandstand. He was an avid golfer and was in several leagues over the years. He enjoyed golfing with each of his brothers and his daughter Jess and enjoyed living across from Blue Mountain Golf Course for many years. He enjoyed having pets and most recently spoiling his daughter’s cats. Ronald is survived by wife Sharon, daughter Jessica, brothers Thomas and Neil Rhen, brother-in-law Keith,  sister-in-laws Monica, Linda and Patty, and numerous nieces, nephews and their families. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Gladys and brother Dennis.A celebration of life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
