Sharon Mingo

Sharon E. Mingo, 77, passed away peacefully in her home on September 7th, 2021. Sharon will live in the hearts of her family as a devoted wife to husband John L. Mingo. A compassionate mother to her two daughters Caryn, Kelli Mingo, and stepson Alton Rivers. Sharon is the daughter of the late Leo and Cora Mae Malone. Also, preceded in death by siblings Lelia Rease and Ralph “Ike” Malone. Sharon leaves to cherish and remember her life sisters Tamara Brathwaite, Kim Vandervall three grandchildren LaKeysha Shingler D’Nia Mingo, Trevon Brown, and a host of family and friends. Colleagues remember her as a light-spirited Hospitality Services Assistant General Manager and generous yet loving soul to her friends. Sharon was also a proud Veteran of the U.S. Army, a member of the last graduating class of the Women’s Army Corps, Ft. Devens in Anniston Al, an avid attendant of the N. 17th St. COGIC, and a member of The Lung Cancer Association. She is best known for her delicious cakes, exquisite crafts, and journey searching for her roots.
