Sylvia Hobbs

Sylvia A. Hobbs, 70 of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, passed peacefully on Monday, May 27, 2017 at Holy Spirit Hospital in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. Sylvia was born in Harrisburg, to the late John C. Washington, Sr. and Thelma (Hamilton) Washington. Sylvia was a graduate of John Harris High School and worked for Villa Teresa Nursing Home with over 20 years of dedicated service.

Sylvia was a strong willed, independent and hard working woman. She was an avid sports fan, watching both basketball and football. She also enjoyed old movies and science fiction, particularly the Star Trek series and was content watching from the comfort of her home. She was also known for her collection of figurines and loved being with her family.

Along with her parents she is predeceased by a son Wyatt Early III. Sylvia is survived by her sons; Lawrence K. and Steven J. Early, her daughter-in-law Kimberly Early, step daughter Cherie Hobbs, siblings; John C. Jr., Jeffrey and Joseph Washington, Ellen Lee, her grandson Mason Early and a host of other relatives and friends.
