Yolanda L. Powell

Yolanda Laquanna Powell, 29 of Harrisburg, unexpectedly passed from this life to her new everlasting home on November 12, 2022. She was born on June 4, 1993 to Katherine Bowles and the late Lonnie W. Powell Sr. in Harrisburg, PA. Yolanda received her formal education through the Harrisburg City Schools. She later attended Job Corps to further her educational goals.

Yolanda loved the Lord Jesus Christ with all her heart. She was a loving, devoted, and selfless mother to her 3 children. She always went the extra measure in making sure they had all that they needed. Yolanda was also a dedicated “Aunt” who loved her nieces and nephews immensely.

Yolanda enjoyed celebrating every special occasion, especially if she knew that the celebration would include a selection of prepared dishes. In addition, she also enjoyed singing, dancing as well as the simple things in life. She was a go with the flow kind of person.

Yolanda leaves to celebrate her life, her 3 children; Ava Aloni Powell, Da’Ryan Olonnie Diggs and Katherine Laverne Diggs, her mother Katherine Bowles, her 5 siblings; (Brother) Renard Bowles, (Sister) Katrina Ali Hill (Brother-in-law) Jason Hill (Brother) Joshua Bowles (Brother) Lonnie Bowles (Sister) Tiara Bowles all of Harrisburg, PA, and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Yolanda was preceded in death by her father, Lonnie W. Powell Sr. and a brother, Travis Bowles.
