Alice Turner-Dorsey

Alice Elaine Turner-Dorsey, daughter of the late Walter Robert Turner, Sr., and Catherine Althea Turner was born on March 12, 1947, in Reidsville, North Carolina. She was the youngest of three children. Her sister, Cecelia Roberta Turner, beloved brother Walter Robert Turner Jr., and sister-in-law Felisa Young, whom predeceased her have gone to meet with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in heaven.  Her dear sweet Candie preceded her also on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at age 14 earlier that morning.

Alice was a loving, caring, devoted wife, fur mom, daughter, sister, and aunt/second mother to her nieces. She left this world suddenly on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at the age of 74.

In 1993 she met her beloved husband, Charles “Charlos” R. Dorsey, and they wed in July 25, 1997.

Alice, a woman of majestic appearance, was known for her classy and stylish nature. She enjoyed decorating her home, trying new cooking recipes, and shopping. When she wasn’t filling her home with warmth and love, she delighted to reward herself with an occasional visit to the local and distant casinos, as well as watching reality television shows. Alice loved music, dancing and enjoyed sitting around cherishing special moments with her many dear friends and family members. After graduating high school in 1966, Alice went on to work for over forty years for the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission, until retirement. After retirement, Alice’s creativity and passion for fine decor inspired her to establish her very own business, Uneekly Yours; a business that allowed her to create extraordinary one-of-a-kind pieces of art.

She leaves to cherish her memory: beloved husband, Charles “Charlos” Dorsey; loving fur baby Mercedes; three nieces, Sonja Schmidt, Tyra Turner, and Kali Turner-Lodge; two sons-in-law, William H. Schmidt Jr. and Charles D. Lodge; seven great nieces and nephews, Bryan & Erin Turner-Bowers, Isaiah Willis, Pamela Cordova, Raquan and Raheem Ashe, Kalis and Ronnie Carter Jr.; one great niece-in-law, Erin Turner-Bowers, and one great nephew-in-law, Roman Cordova; six (soon to be seven) great-great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Alice excelled at supporting her family and friends through the many passions and difficulties of their lives, as well.  In her own unique way, Alice made it her mission to improve and brighten the lives of others. We will all miss her tremendously. Her sassiness, exquisite style, unconditional love, and exceptional compassion will always be remembered.  Her Legacy of Extraordinary Love and Generosity will forever be Treasured in Our Hearts.
