Katie B. Gibson, affectionately known as “Katie B, Aunt Kate, and Granny”, was born on March 21, 1932 in Harrisville, Maryland, to the late William Jones and Ervine Jones-Young.

Katie was loved and cherished by all.  Katie enjoyed gardening, canning, cooking, dancing, and listening to music.  She also enjoyed long bus trips to various shopping centers, cultural and historical venues, as well as casino’s.   What Katie loved more than anything, was spending time with and family and friends.

Katie was proceeded in death by her husband, of whom she was married to for over 56 years Jacob Gibson Sr.  Katie was additionally proceeded by her (son’s) Jacob Gibson Jr., and Dwight Gibson, and her (daughter) Margaret James.  Katie leaves to cherish her loving (brother) Edgar Young, (son’s) Jeffrey Gibson, Kenneth Gibson, and Randall Gibson.  She also leaves her four grandchildren Christopher, Tavonya, Loylita, and Cassandria, and eight great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and long-time friends.
