Obituary

Ronald Anthony George, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, a mentor and a great friend to many, went home to Jesus on June 18, 2021 at the age of 67.  Ron was born on November 7th, 1953 to the late James Ray and Mary George.  After graduating from high school in Harrisburg, he served as a proud Marine from 1976-1980, including a tour overseas in Korea.  While in the Marines, he earned the National Defense Service Medal, Rifle Marksmanship Badge, and the Good Conduct Medal.

After receiving an Honorable Discharge from the Marines, he worked for New Cumberland Army Department for 40 years as a supervisor working in supply management.  Ron retired in 2012; however, during his retirement he went back to the workforce for Pro Quality Cleaning, a commercial janitorial services company, cleaning the Pennsylvania Senate Capitol building.

Ron was a natural born leader.  He always found time and space to mentor others in the community and at the workplace.  Ron was a man with strong faith in our Savior, Jesus Christ.  He made sure he prayed for those in need and for people to experience Jesus Christ.

Ron loved sports.  He was a great basketball player at school, while serving in the Marines and at work.  He loved gardening as he took much pride in his rose bushes. Overall, Ron was a great man to be around and always had a good attitude no matter the circumstance.

He leaves to celebrate his life and to cherish precious memories of his and their life together, his wife, Santos E.
